If what you’re looking for in a phone is an impressive range
of features delivered by a muscular workhouse designed for productivity, then
the Nokia 95 8GB is the phone for you.
A sleek, modern look disguises the sheer utility of this
powerhouse phone. A 3G (Gigahertz)
network makes taking advantage of the 8 GB (Gigabytes) of flash memory storage
almost effortless, and means that your average user will be hard put to run out
of space. Whether you’re transporting
data for work or carrying multimedia for play, the mini-USB access means that
no matter how much you travel or even to where, it’s highly likely that you’ll
be able to take advantage of the existing technology in whatever laptop or
computer you’re going to end up using to keep the N 95 8GB on the job and
contributing towards a flexible range of goals and productivity needs.
Thanks to the size of the storage you’ll have a virtually
unlimited amount of storage in your phonebook for entries and fields. The
expanded storage allows for detailed call storage for up to 30 days.
The 5 mega pixel built-in camera captures photos in a
resolution as high as 2592 x 1933 pixels in a camera featuring Carl Zeiss
optics with autofocus. The camera is
capable of taking VGA video with up to 30 fps (frames per second). There’s a second CIF (Camera In Front) for
videophone calling or video conferencing.
You’ll be able to watch
your instant replays of your photos on a screen
that stretches a beautiful 2.8 inches and displays in sixteen million colors in
a resolution of 240 x 320.
You’ll of course be able to use your favorite blue tooth
toys with this phone using version 2.0 with A2DP. Hands free use is already built in, so any hands free add ons
will be used to extend the capability.
There’s an infrared port and you can gain WLAN with Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g with UPnP technology.
There’s a built in GPS receiver using the faster A-GPS
functioning. The installed maps
application covers over 100 countries.
The battery life is a big improvement over past versions and
now has an extended life of up to 280 hours on standby, although some users may
find that only six hours of talk time without recharging can be a frustrating
limitation.
The Nokia N95 8GB takes full advantage of converging
technology by also doubling as an MP3 player with support for WMA media. There’s a 3.5 mm output jack, a TV out,
and even a stereo FM receiver. There’s
even voice dial and memo functions.
The phone also comes with some of the standard smartphone
technology such as instant messaging and Internet browsing. With a 128 MB of SDRAM technology and a dual
ARM 11 442 MGz CPU makes surfing and messaging fast, easy, and effortless as
it’s going to get in the current state of technology.
One thing I can say though , is that reviewing this phone was
a pleasure and the value it would add as a work tool is clear and I can happily
recommend this phone as a powerful tool for a camera phone.
