As we’ve frequently observed, some of the products that people who love gadgets gravitate to most strongly are the ones that combine various other types of gadgets into a kind of super gadget, and now an Australian student has done that with a bicycle helmet. This helmet which is called the Pulse Bicycle Safety Helmet combines several different features that cyclists can use while riding, into the shell of the helmet without decreasing the safety features of the helmet. In fact, with more safety features built in the Pulse Bicycle Safety Helmet may be even safer than a normal helmet. The first major difference between the Pulse Bicycle Safety Helmet and a normal helmet is in its structure. The Pulse is designed so that its user can customize how air flows through the helmet in order to meet his or her exact cooling needs. This can be especially valuable for any cyclist who rides in a variety of climates or weather conditions. After all, you don’t necessarily want a lot of air flow if you’re competing in the Iditabike race in the dead of winter up in Alaska. On the other hand if you happen to be riding through Death Valley in July, air flow is very much a necessity. Fortunately the Pulse Helmet can adapt pretty well to either extreme of weather conditions or simply the preferences of different riders.
